Quick Material Reference
Choosing the right film type is as important as its size, because it directly affects print success rate and vat longevity.
- FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene): The classic standard. Excellent UV transmission, but higher release force than modern alternatives. Suitable for small and simple models.
- nFEP / PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy): An improved option with lower surface tension. Reduces the risk of the model detaching from supports and sticking to the vat bottom (reduces the characteristic “pop” sound when the platform lifts). Strongly recommended for mid-size and large printers.
- ACF (Advanced Composite Film): A next-generation innovative film with a slightly matte texture. Has the lowest possible release force, enabling printing at ultra-high speeds (High-Speed Resin) and saving significant time.
Note: When switching to ACF, you may need a small Anti-Aliasing adjustment in the slicer, because the matte surface slightly scatters UV light.
