How to Turn Telegram Stars into Real Money: A Guide for Beginners
If you were gifted or donated “Stars” (Telegram Stars), you can exchange them for real money and withdraw to a bank card. Here’s how it works from start to finish.
Step 1: Enable Telegram’s Built-in Wallet
Every Telegram user already has a wallet — you just need to activate it.
In Telegram search, type @Wallet (make sure you find the bot with the blue checkmark).
Start it.
Done! The wallet will now permanently appear in your Telegram side menu (the “Wallet” button).
Step 2: Create a Vault (TON Space)
The regular Telegram wallet is just a balance. To withdraw money, you need a personal crypto vault called TON Space.
Open “Wallet” in settings.
Tap “Create TON Space” and follow the on-screen steps.
⚠️ THE MOST IMPORTANT PART: The bot will give you a password in the form of 24 random English words.
Take a pen and paper.
Write these words down strictly in order.
Hide the paper somewhere safe.
If you forget or lose these 24 words — you will lose all your money forever. Nobody can recover them, not even Telegram support.
Step 3: Exchange Stars for Crypto (TON)
You cannot transfer Stars straight to Sberbank. First you need to convert them into the internal cryptocurrency — TON.
Minimum amount for exchange: 1000 Stars.
Go to your wallet, select Stars, and tap exchange. They will automatically convert into TON coins and land in your vault (TON Space).
Step 4: Withdraw TON to a Bank Card
The easiest way for a beginner is to sell TON through the official bot @CryptoBot (it works as a reliable exchange).
Open @CryptoBot.
Tap “Deposit” and select the TON coin. The bot will give you an address (a string of letters and numbers).
Go to your “Wallet,” tap send TON, and paste that address.
When the TON arrives in @CryptoBot, open the P2P (Market) section there.
What is P2P?
It’s a marketplace where you sell crypto to a real person, and they transfer rubles or dollars straight to your bank card (Tinkoff, Sber, etc.). The bot acts as escrow: until the money arrives on your card, the buyer does not get your coins.
Choose sellers with a good rating (many deals, high success rate).
Watch the rate (don’t sell too cheap).

Never give anyone your 24 words. If someone DMs you asking for them while posing as “support” — it’s a scammer.
When transferring, always check the network. Choose the TON network (sometimes called Jetton). Pick another one — and the money is gone.
Don’t keep millions in bots. Converted to rubles — withdraw to your card.
